TriCounty Health to have 2 stations at each office
Vernal, UT Oct. 4, 2021 – TriCounty Health Department (TCHD) has begun construction on the electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The construction is estimated to be completed by Oct. 15, 2021, giving access to the public to charge electric vehicles at both the Roosevelt and Vernal TCHD office buildings.
“This helps give residents of the Uintah Basin the opportunity to purchase electric vehicles, which will improve air quality.” Environmental Health Director, Darrin Brown, said. “Having stations in Roosevelt especially, will help give opportunity for more rural commuting with electric vehicles.”
The stations will be available for public use and accessible 24 hours a day. The EV stations are being built at the Vernal TCHD building on the west side of the parking lot, opposite Mountainlands Dental at 133 S 500 E. The EV stations at the Roosevelt TCHD building will be at the northeast corner of the parking lot at 409 S 200 E.
Further announcements will be made when construction comes to completion and the stations become available for public use.
