Food handler service
All people who handle food or drinks (cafes, restaurants, gas stations, theaters, bars, taverns, daycares, nursing homes, etc) must have a current food handler permit to be in accordance with Utah state law.
Below is a list of approved providers that offer the full food handler course and exam. These courses can be taken in multiple languages. The fee for the online course is $25.00. When the online test is completed and you pass the test you can print out your certificate that is valid for 30 days. TriCounty Health Department will mail you a hard card that will be valid for 3 years.
There is a $15.00 fee to attend a Food Handler’s class. The Food Handler’s Permits will be issued after attending a class and successfully passing the exam (plan for 3 full hours). The Health Department will try to accommodate any special learning needs.
