Vernal, Utah Aug. 16, 2021 – Davis Food and Drug believes the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) utilizes the leading experts in infectious disease for the collection and analysis of disease statistics in order to make recommendations based on the highest quality scientific data.
Davis Food and Drug follows the CDC guidelines that are given through the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) regarding prevention, vaccination and treatment of COVID-19. We train all of our Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to follow the guidelines and recommendations given by these organizations. Furthermore, we train and expect all of our pharmacy team members, as is the universal standard of conduct and professionalism within the pharmacy industry, to utilize trusted and reliable sources of information when discussing the health of our customers and patients.
Davis Food and Drug also recognizes the extensive efforts from TriCounty Health Department in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic and we join with them in their mission of “serving for health” by providing the best information available, offering vaccination services, and promoting overall health within our community.
“We appreciate the efforts made by local businesses, pharmacies and medical practices, to help bring situational awareness to the community,” Director of TriCounty Health Department, Kirk Benge, said. “I have been impressed as I have witnessed the local community pull together during the pandemic. We are not out of the woods yet and we admonish the public to stay diligent in their efforts and to look to accurate sources (coronavirus.utah.gov, cdc.gov, tricountyhealth.com) for up-to-date information.”
