Local COVID-19 Transmission Index 

Tri-County Area Transmission Level Oct. 22-Oct.29

 

Vernal, UT month day, year – TriCounty Health Department announces that as of Oct. 22, Uintah County remains in Moderate transmission level, Duchesne County moves up to Moderate transmission level and Daggett is in low transmission level. 

 

A transmission level (high, moderate, low) is determined if a county has two of the three metrics in the designated level of transmission. These levels are calculated weekly, on Thursday, by the Utah Department of Health (UDOH).

 

Transmission rate is determined by statewide ICU utilization, a 14-day case rate per 100,000 population and a 7-day average percent positivity for COVID-19 testing. 

 From Oct. 14- Oct. 21, 2020  Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 6.75 percent and the 14-day case rate per 100,000 population was 158/100,000.

 From Oct. 14- Oct. 21, 2020 Duchesne County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 7.02 percent and the 14-day case rate per 100,000 population was 175.3/100,000.

 From Oct. 14- Oct. 21, 2020 Daggett County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 0 percent and the 14-day case rate per 100,000 population was 0/100,000.

 

Over the past 7 days the tri-county area has seen 0 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations and 0 new deaths COVID-19 related deaths.  

 Statewide total ICU utilization 72.2 percent. Seven-day COVID-19 utilization is 72 percent.
