Test Your Home
Keeping your home tested and up to date on important health codes and recommendations can save you thousands of dollars in medical costs.
Radon is a naturally occurring gas that comes up from the ground. You can’t see or smell it, but if this gas gets into your home, it can be very dangerous to your health and cause lung cancer. One in three homes in Utah has harmful levels of radon. Test kits can be ordered for $11 on www.radon.utah.gov and are very easy to use.
If you find any harmful levels of radon in your home, the next thing to do is speak with a certified radon mitigation specialist. The solution may be as simple as increasing the air circulation in your home, or you may need to install a venting system under your home.
How clean is the water you are drinking? Our environmental lab in Vernal can test the water for total coliform bacteria and E. coli for only $20 per sample. Did you know the residue left behind after smoking or cooking meth can be harmful to your health? If you think your home may be contaminated by meth, come into either of our offices to pick up a test kit. Samples are easy to collect and inexpensive to mail to ALS lab and have tested.
