Vernal, UT Feb. 10, 2022 – TriCounty Health Department (TCHD) announces that as of Feb. 10, 2022 Uintah County is in high transmission level, Duchesne County is in high transmission level and Daggett is in low transmission level. TCHD reports today 12,438 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area, an increase of 30 new cases from yesterday. There are currently 1,746 active cases. 

Over the past seven days the tri-county area has seen 19 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations and three new COVID-19 related deaths.

Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 31 percent and the 14-day case rate per 100,000 population was  1665/100,000, which equates to 599 cases in the past 14 days.

Duchesne County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 25 percent and the 14-day case rate per 100,000 population was  1428/100,000, which equates to 284 cases in the past 14 days.

Daggett County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 33 percent and the 14-day case rate per 100,000 population was 1170/100,000, which equates to 12 cases in the past 14 days.

Statewide total ICU utilization 86 percent. Seven-day COVID-19 utilization is 34 percent. 

For the purpose of these rates, the Ute Indian Tribe contributes to the county numbers and rates in which the individual resides.
