Vernal, UT Feb. 3, 2022 – TriCounty Health Department (TCHD) announces that as of Feb. 3, 2022 Uintah County is in high transmission level, Duchesne County is in high transmission level and Daggett is in low transmission level. TCHD reports today 12,177 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area, an increase of 120 new positive tests from yesterday. There are currently 2,273 estimated active cases. 

Over the past seven days the tri-county area has seen 27 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations and zero new COVID-19 related deaths.

Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 37 percent and the 14-day case rate per 100,000 population was  2977/100,000, which equates to 1,071 cases in the past 14 days.

Duchesne County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 30 percent and the 14-day case rate per 100,000 population was  2352/100,000, which equates to 468 cases in the past 14 days.

Daggett County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 14 percent and the 14-day case rate per 100,000 population was 1169/100,000, which equates to 12 cases in the past 14 days.

Statewide total ICU utilization 85 percent. Seven-day COVID-19 utilization is 36 percent. 

For the purpose of these rates, the Ute Indian Tribe contributes to the county numbers and rates in which the individual resides.
