Violence & Injury Prevention
We are Here to Help
Research shows that most injuries are predictable and preventable. While injuries are the leading cause of death for individuals ages 1-54, they can have a dramatic impact on a person’s ability to lead an active, fulfilling life.
From 2013- 2015, the leading causes of injury-related deaths in the tri-county health district have been due to poisoning, firearms, suffocation, unintentional falls, and motor vehicle crashes. Our mission is to be a resource in the community for reducing the number of injuries and deaths in the tri-county health district by providing quality programs and services to the public.
