Utah Cancer Control Program

TriCounty Health Department partners with the Utah Cancer Control Program to offer breast and cervical cancer screening services to income eligible Utah women, ages 40-64 years.  Additionally, for women 50-64 years, the BeWise program provides additional blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes screening as well as individualized risk reduction counseling.

The BeWise Program is a grant funded program that provides FREE  screenings to low-income, underinsured, or uninsured women ages 40-64. The mission of the BeWise Program is to provide women with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to improve their diet, physical activity, and other life habits to prevent, delay or control cardiovascular and other chronic diseases.

Screenings include:                                                                                                                                                                                                

  • Mammogram
  • Clincial Breast Exam
  • Pap Test
  • Weight  
  • Height
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Blood Pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Glucose (blood sugar)
  • A1C (for diabetics)                                                                                                                                                                                 

Participants in the BeWise Program also receive FREE health coaching in addition to the cardiovascular screenings and regular Women’s Cancer Screening Exams.
